It is such a rarity for me to have free time to enjoy reading just for entertainment. When my friend Bob wrote this, of course I wanted to read it! What I didn't realize was that I would not be able to put it down. I read the whole book in one weekend on vacation. I always enjoyed reading Bob's blogs because they are so entertaining. He carries this into this book! When I was done, I wanted more! The ending was PERFECT!I never saw that coming!

Flash Mob Robert O'Connell Books Reviews
In the beginning, the author takes his
time introducing the characters, so that the reader can become familiar with
each one, and his/her relationship with the others. As the plot unfolds,
secrets are revealed, drawing the reader into the action.
Near the end, the plot picks up pace dramatically. It was almost
dizzying! The surprise ending left me wanting to know what happens next.
I can’t wait for the sequel!
I read Flash Mob while on vacation and didn't want to put it down. O'Connell's descriptive and conversational writing style made it an easy read and made me really care about the characters and the family in the story. There were times I laughed out loud and times I felt real tension created by the mystery and unexpected ending. The story was about how love, loyalty, friendships and family are everything in life. I think Flash Mob would be a great movie and I look forward to a sequel!
This lighthearted book reads easily. The characters are colorful, and the ending is both surprising and satisfying. There are lots of possibilities for future stories using this multigenerational family and I look forward to reading more books by this author.
Robert O'Connell did a great job of creating chaos, intrigue, romance and danger in a well written story. Most of the characters were people you'd like to have at a dinner party.
The book was difficult to follow written in present progressive tense but was an enjoyable read. Towards the end the flash mob scene and the characters involved got confusing. However, Mr O'Connell has a humorous insight writing style that was entertaining.
The book itself is a great read. The subtle humor is amazing. Many times I finished a chapted with a chuckle. Other times I was too into it, to actually laugh as I wanted to see what happened next.
The characters spoke to me... I started reading the book at a chapter a day pace. But once the characters and plot were fully presented it was too hard not to ignore my other duties to read this book. At that point I belive it took me four nights to finish. I loved it from that point on!!! So much so that I had dreams about the book the four nights it took me to finish it. And then after. I kept thinking I knew the characters in real life.
Any book that I can connect to in that way deserves a great rating. Look forward to the next one.
I haven't been to New Jersey for 20 years but this book took me right back, and gave me a huge craving for red sauce.
Fascinating interplay between characters of different ethnic groups and different generations, all human after all. This fun, breezy story will make you feel encouraged about people's capacity to understand and respect one another, despite differences. I'm sure this is a great beach read, but it's also a great airplane read. You'll forget how cramped and uncomfortable you are, as the hours fly by. And you'll be more forgiving of the person behind you, who is kicking your seat.
