Somewhere in the city that forgot to stay clean (on Almer’s Way to be exact) a plague has broken out. All the men, even the young have fallen ill, but when a homeless man and a boy come to town the surviving women must learn their secret. What happens next can only described as a Miyazaki like mystery. This eerie story kept me guessing all the way to the very end. Whispering ghosts?! Double jointed monsters?! Haunted houses?! When it was over, not only was I glad the lights were still on, but I wanted more!I love the world of the Distinct Poplar (the city that forgot to stay clean). If what happens on Almer’s Way is any indication as to how bizarre and creepy this city can be, then please draw me a road map, cause I cannot wait to explore every street and back alley this city has to offer.
